Stripes + sequins

Aquí tenemos uno de los blogs a los que yo estoy suscrita, y que tiene muy buenas ideas de DIY.

Se llama Stripes&Sequins y esta semana da una lista de 20 sitios donde conseguir materiales para anualidades baratos. 

Como yo estoy de acuerdo en la selección de 6 de sus 10 sitios (los otro 4 no los he probado) os lo pongo. Este es el post donde los menciona.

La verdad es que tiene razón, la mayoría de materiales se consiguen más baratos por internet y te llegan a casa sin complicaciones, lo único, es que no tienes que tener prisa (a veces son dos días, pero los japoneses por ejemplo tardan hasta 20...). 

1.  Amazon.com  Believe it or not, I buy the majority of my supplies here.  I have a subscription to Amazon Prime, which paid for itself in two months of joining.  $80 a year for free next day shipping?  Amazing.  They have such a huge range of products + supplies… it’s incredible.
Yo en  amazon compro sobretodo papelería. Lo mejor es elegir el Amazon de tu país, pero como el de España es muy nuevo aún no tiene muchas cosas. Sin embargo en Ebay sí. 
Ebay España es uno de los que yo añadiría a esta lista, porque tienes los gastos de envío gratis y puedes comprar desde España a cualquier país. Paypal te hace la conversión directa de moneda y no pagas gastos. 
Yo he comprado hilos en Japón como si fuera la tienda de la esquina y sin pagar ni gastos de envío ni cambio de moneda. 

2.  Beadaholique  Beadaholique offers a huge range of findings, chain, beads, and more.  Nearly everything you need to create jewelry.  (Tip:  They’re also on Amazon.com – I usually find what I want on Beadaholique and search for it on Amazon – it simplifies the check-out process if I’m ordering other products, plus there’s that whole cheap/free shipping thing.

3.  Create for Less  This is another great site for basic crafting supplies.  I love that they offer bulk pricing if you are buying a lot of a certain item… also, they offer free shipping on orders of $100 or more.

4.  Etsy I’ve only recently hopped on the Etsy bandwagon for ordering supplies.  They’ve got some great stuff that you can’t necessarily find elsewhere – including vintage materials and bulk quantities of beads – straight from China (and super cheap.)  Top picks include thesestone spike beads and all of the tortoise goodness they have going on.
Aquí teneis el post que yo hice sobre Etsy. De verdad que es que tienen de todo. Lo único que como cada vendedor se organiza, la mayoría cobra los gastos de envío desde EEUU. Lo bueno es que los americanos tienen d.e...t.o.d.o. para CRAFTS. 

5.  Hobby Lobby I was blown away by how much great stuff Hobby Lobby has on their website.  They’ve become a go to for reasonably priced cords (especially macrame + waxed linen,) and neon goodies.

6.  M&J Trim  M&J will always have a special place in my heart.  For buttons and trim, it’s my go-to.  I’m also a very big fan of this chain – I use it in a lot of my DIY projects.

7.  Online Fabric Store  I was having a hard time finding fabric online that also looks true to color, until I found this site.  They also offer a huge array of faux leather.  (Shipping is free for orders over $50.)
Las telas es una de las cosas que aún merece la pena comprar en España, sobretodo en los mercadillos. 
Fuera de España son súper caras, la mayoría de las veces son sintéticas y de mala calidad. 
Yo me paso el día pensando en mi prima Mati cuando me dice que lo compra en los mercadillos de Badajoz o de Portugal... (y los precios que me cuenta...). 

8.  Ornamentea Ornamentea is another great site for basic jewelry making supplies.  They’re my standby for well-priced leather cord in a huge range of colors.  They also have a cute blog with lots of tutorial projects.

9.  Save on Crafts  Although this site’s selection of merchandise is a bit random, the prices are amazing.  Ribbons, paper lanterns, mason jars, feathers, and more…  if you can find what you’re looking for, the price will be right.

10.  Studs and Spikes  While this website is a bit tough to navigate, this is one of my favorite spots.  All the spikes, studs, and (fake) bullets, you could ever ask for!  Their customer service is also really great.
Este año que tan de moda han estado las tachuelas, este es el mejor sitio para comprarlas, aunque cobren los gastos de envío. 
Merece la pena el total del precio, vistos los precios que tienen por ahí. 
También venden a través de ebay. y es una buena idea para pagar con paypal y hacerlo aún más fácil.
